Research into CONVENTIONS for Major Task

Even though I analysed all the conventions because of my own interest to understand them, I will still create a music video on the beach, as I wanted since the start of the course. It will focus on a realistic style, using natural lighting to create a reflective mood. It will combine performance elements, such as the individual lip syncing by the sea, with subtle narrative moments to convey emotion without a complex storyline.

Features I would not want in my own work:

1. Overcrowded layouts→ Too many images or text blocks reduce clarity and impact.

2. Generic stock imagery→ I want original visuals to maintain authenticity and a strong identity.

3. Overuse of too bright and intense colours→ Doesn’t fit the cinematic tone if used too much and can feel unprofessional.
