When designing Global Lens, I’ve carefully considered fonts and conventions to create a clean, credible, and sophisticated look. Below are the choices and reasoning behind them.

Barcode & Other Conventions
Barcode- Placed discreetly at the bottom-right corner of the cover to maintain a professional retail-ready appearance.
Tagline- Under the masthead “Media & Diplomacy Magazine” to establish the magazines's niche immediately.
Titles and Subtitles- Headlines in bold Montserrat or Playfair Display for impact; subtitles in Lora or Open Sans to complement them.
Logos- The Global Lens masthead logo appears on every issue back cover.
Website- The website URL appears under the logo on the back cover.
Page Numbers- Bottom outer corners, small but legible, in Montserrat to stay consistent with the magazine’s clean style.
You may be wondering "Why does this work for the audience?"
Our readers expect clarity, credibility, and sophistication. Using a mix of serif fonts for authority and clean sans-serif fonts for modernity balances tradition with relevance. Meanwhile, conventions like a barcode and website ensure that Global Lens feels like a real-world publication they can trust and engage with.
