After creating and sharing my Target Audience Questionnaire, I originally planned to wait a week to gather responses. However, all of the friends and classmates I asked, completed the form very quickly, so I was able to analyse the data sooner than expected.
📊 My Questionnaire & Results
-What the Results Showed
Age Group: Most respondents were between 16–20 years old, with a smaller number in the 21–25 category.
Magazine Habits: A majority said they read magazines online rather than print.
Preferred Content: Respondents like feature articles mixed with visuals, opinion pieces, and interviews, especially about media, world issues, and culture.
Lifestyle Groups: Most respondents identified as Explorers and Aspirers. A smaller portion felt they were Reformers.
-Reflection: How This Shapes My Magazine
Main Target Audience: Students and young professionals aged 16–24 who are interested in media, global affairs, and cultural trends.
Format Choice: Because most people prefer digital access, my magazine will be optimised for online reading, with a clean, mobile-friendly layout.
Content: More focus on interactive features (photo essays, infographics, short opinion columns, and interviews with young voices).
Tone & Style: Bold but approachable — pastel aesthetics with clear typography to make serious topics visually appealing.
What I Will Not Include: Very long academic-style texts or heavy print-based layouts, as my audience prefers shorter, visual-heavy articles.
-Audience Groups
Most of my respondents fit into the Explorer and Aspirer categories:
Explorers seek new experiences and ideas — they’ll appreciate unique angles, international perspectives, and multimedia content.
Aspirers are motivated by style and image — they’ll be drawn to a magazine that feels fresh, modern, and visually strong.
This means my magazine should balance substance and style: credible, informative articles presented in a visually appealing, shareable way.
